These <br /> committees,the Housing and Community Development Citizens' Advisory Committee and the Human <br /> Needs Advisory Committee see the same non-profit agencies applying for multiple programs using different <br /> funding sources.Integrating the committees would create efficiency for the committee functions and staffing <br /> efforts and as a result, evaluate community needs as a whole providing for coordinated and effective funding <br /> recommendations given the limited City resources available for community needs. The process for <br /> consolidating the committees is included in Section 7 of the proposed ordinance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Approve an Ordinance integrating the Housing and Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee <br /> and the Human Needs Citizen's Advisory Committee by establishing a new Citizen's Advisory Committee <br /> on Housing, Community Development, and Human Needs issues, amending Ordinance No. 342-74 and <br /> Ordinance 2975-07 and repealing Ordinance 1555-89.11 <br />
