The differences
such as setting priorities, meeting frequency, and procedural structure can be integrated
into one committee process.
Integration Process Recommendation
The following steps contain a recommended approach to integrating the two committees
and the transition process is reflected in the proposed ordinance.
INTEGRATING COMMITTEE MEMBERS
13= The Committee would be referred to as the "Citizens Advisory Committee".
l' Consult with each committee member to determine if they went to continue to serve
under the new structure.
N Any member could continue to serve the remainder of their term on the integrated
committee. This would likely produce a larger member committee than 11
throughout the transition period.
N As committee member's term expire or when a member does not wish to continue,
there would be no new appointments to the integrated committee until the number is
below 11 members. A full integration is estimated to take about 1 to 2 years at which
time new applicants would be eligible for appointment.
15, Page 4
43
