One summit attempt per year. <br /> (Single summit climb) 2. Maximum group size is 6 people including guides. <br /> 3. No more than 3 clients per guide. <br /> 15 CUAs 4. Five nights per trip maximum. <br /> 5. Trips may occur Sunday through Thursday(no Friday or Saturday night stays). <br /> 6. Trips may occur on any route outside the Commercial Free Zone with the exception of the <br /> Liberty Ridge Route.Trips may include guiding the Muir, Emmons and Kautz Routes. <br /> 7. As a minimum, all guides will possess intermediate climbing and technical rescue SAR <br /> skills, including basic avalanche recognition, snow safety awareness,technical rescue <br /> skills, and technical rescue skills in a glaciated alpine environment. <br /> 8. Manage human waste on Mount Rainier as found at: <br /> http://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/things-to-know-before-you-climb.htm <br /> 9. The CUA holder will access climbing routes only via standard approach routes.Access to <br /> the Kautz Route and Fuhrer's Finger would be via Paradise rather than Van Trump Park. <br /> 10. When traveling on glaciers or in other hazardous terrain,guides will travel roped up to a <br /> partner(either another guide or a client). Clients must travel roped up to a guide. Guides <br /> and clients may un-rope at camps or rest areas on glaciers once the guide has designated <br /> a safe area. <br /> 11. This summit climb may consist of non-summit activities (e.g. ski mountaineering)that occur <br /> below 10,000 feet with the exception that Camp Muir is allowed. <br /> 12. Due to limited parking, no more than 2 commercial vehicles can be parked at a trailhead at <br /> one time in the park(with the exception of the Paradise lower lot, Longmire and Sunrise <br /> parking lots). <br /> 13. The CUA holder is encouraged to comply with the guidelines of the US Public Health <br /> Service for Food, Potable Water, Human Waste,Vector-Borne and Zoonotic Diseases, and <br /> Illness Reporting in backcountry operations (www.nps.gov/public health/index.htm, click on <br /> "State Health Departments"). <br /> 14. Company logo or name must appear on guide's clothing or gear. <br /> 15. Annual Reporting Requirements:The Annual Use Report is due each year no later than <br /> November 15. <br /> 16. Concessionaires cannot hold a CUA for services they are currently required or authorized to <br /> provide. <br /> 10 SUPiICUAs Note: SUPiICUA group size is 12 people including guides.
