To identify �vhat is being proposed as ne��� work on tf,�s permit, please revise the draa�.�ings as follo�vs: <br /> a. tJew work should be indicated with dark lines. Existing work should be indicated as light lines, <br /> in comparison, and demolition work sh�ould be indicated with dashed lines. <br /> b. New work can also be shown with a scoping bubble. <br /> c. The drawings should be clear enough that the scope of the ne�v work could be understood by <br /> someone other than the submitter. <br /> Mechanical <br /> 1. Manufacturers' instaliation instructions/catalog cut sheets should be submitted for all new equipment <br /> shown on the drawings. <br /> 2. An economizer is required for the new mechanical air handling unit, unless documentation is provided <br /> other�vise indicating conformance with WSEC section 1424 Economizers. <br /> 3. The weight of the old and new replacemenf unit should be shown on the drawings, induding the <br /> location of each. If the new unif is heavier than the old unif, or in a di(ferent location, the location and <br /> weight of lhe ne�v air handling units requires review and stamped sUuctural veiification by a <br /> NJashinglon Statc licensed professional engineer. <br /> a. Either thc professional enginccr shouid �vriLc a letter �vith a wet slamp to verify lhat lhe <br /> existing structure will carry the weight (this letter can be sent by e-mail); or, <br /> b. The professional engineer can send an e-mail verifying thal lhe current mechanical submittal <br /> was reviewed by the engineer, and the location and weighLs of lhe units has not cha�ged since <br /> the slructural drawings wem designed and suLmitted for building permit; or, <br /> c. If the existing structure is not sufficient to carry the weight or resist the seismic impact of the <br /> new air handling units, the engineer will need to submit wet-stamped (raming plans, details and I <br /> calala[ions for structural revisions required. � <br /> Applicable codes indude the 2009 Intemational Building Code, the 2009 International Fire Code, the 2009 I <br /> International Mechanicaf Code, and the 2009 �Vashington State Energy Code (WSEC).
