INTERIM POLICY: The following interim policy shall apply to all new development and <br /> redevelopment that creates and/or redevelops a total of 2,000 sq.ft. or more of <br /> impervious area: <br /> 1. Stormwater in the combined sewer area shall be controlled according to <br /> the requirements in the City's 2010 Stormwater Management Manual,with <br /> the exception of Minimum Requirement#6—Runoff Treatment and in <br /> Minimum Requirement#7—Flow Control, the term "a forested land cover" <br /> shall be replaced by "the existing site conditions", provided that the <br /> resulting stormwater flow shall not increase Combined Sewer Overflows <br /> (CSOs) and/or basement flooding in the combined sewer area. <br /> 2. The cost of stormwater controls that are required in addition to <br /> requirements of the Stormwater Management Manual will be credited <br /> against the project's sewer connection charge(EMC 14.08.135). The <br /> amount credited shall be based on a bid amount for the additional controls <br /> provided to the City by the developer. <br /> 3. _No connections of roof drains to side sewers or laterals shall be allowed <br /> without prior approval of the Director. <br /> DURATION OF INTERIM POLICY: <br /> This policy applies to all applications for project permits submitted after the effective <br /> date of the policy. See EMC 15.28.010. The policy shall take effect on the date the <br /> Director signs it and remain in effect until the date the Director terminates it in writing or <br /> issues a policy expressly superseding this interim policy.The Director intends to review <br /> this interim policy upon the update of the Comprehensive Sewer Plan in approximately <br /> one year and to revise the policy if warranted by the updated plan. <br /> Signed: ,� l Date: f,) (7 <br /> David H.
