ORDINANCE NO. 3651-18 El -7 - "TT AN ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled"Forterra Restoration Plan", Fund 354, Program 058, for the continued implementation of a restoration plan for several publicly owned urban forested areas within the City of Everett; and WHEREAS,the City desires to preserve publicly owned urban forests in terms of their health, functionality and the public benefits urban forests provide; and WHEREAS,the City values the organization and coordination of forest restoration projects and the volunteer recruitment and management that Forterra provides; and WHEREAS,the City has several departments and committees whose coordinated efforts with Forterra continue to support the long-term sustainability of our urban forests. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special improvement project is hereby established as Fund 354, Program 058, and shall be entitled"Forterra Restoration Plan"to accumulate all costs for the improvement project. Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 354, Program 058, for the improvement project. Section 3: Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Community Services Director, under direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things necessary to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. Section 4: The sum of$58,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 058, "Forterra Restoration Plan" as follows: A. Estimated Project Costs Forestry Services $58,000 Total Estimated Costs $58,000 B. Source of Funds Fund 354-CIP 3 $58.000 Total Estimated Funds $58,000
