•
Nailing at All Existing T1-11 Plywood Siding and Faux Stucco Plywood Substrate—
Contractor shall field verify existing nailing to meet the following minimum requirements. Where
existing nailing does not meet these requirements, additional nailing shall be added. The
minimum acceptable attachment will be 8d Common at 6"on centers along sheet edges and 12"
on centers at intermediate supports. Where nailing is 4" on center (or less) at panel edges, all
edge nailing at that wall segment shall have matching edge nailing. Where T1-11 sheets abut
on a stud, both sheets will be nailed.
In the case where existing T1-11 or substrate plywood is damaged and requires replacement,
new plywood of matching thickness will be provided and nailed to the above stated minimum
requirements or match existing spacing whichever is less. Some care and judgement will need
to be exercised when installing new nailing to avoid existing plumbing or electrical lines in the
walls. Where it can be determined that blocking between studs exists, field nailing shall be
installed.
