The
site is currently vacant with some ivy, trees and brush. There is no storm drainage in the
area. The site slopes down to the northeast at 20 to 40%+/-. Storm water runoff currently
sheet flows off of the vacant site to the PNW Traction Company ROW, or infiltrates on
site. See attached site map. The flow will continue to flow to the northeast as it now does
but infiltration trenches will be installed to better infiltrate the flow from the driveway
and houses. The driveway pavement will slope to a catch basin in the driveway and the
catch basin will drain to a 21'x2'x2' infiltration trench. The house downspouts will drain
to a 561f x 2' x 2' infiltration trench.
The site is located on Parcel 00495800701003. The site address is to be determined
This project will pave 2,226sf of existing brush and ivy with pavement or roofs The
project proposes to construct a new 1,838sf Single Family Residence and a 699sf
driveway. See site plan.
Section 2 Site Assessment
Per the City of Everett Storm Drainage Manual Figure 2.1, Requirements 1 through 5 will
be met.
Requirement#1—A storm water site plan will be provided-see attached.
Requirement#2—A Site Pollution Prevention Plan is provided-see attached
Requirement#3— Source control of pollutants will be provided by a downturned elbow in the driveway
catch basin and the infiltration trench for the driveway runoff.
Requirement#4— Preserve the Natural Drainage will be complied with as the runoff will continue to flow
as it does now to the south.
Requirement#5—Infiltrate,Retain or Disperse stormwater runoff to the extent feasible.A perforated pipe
connection to the City Storm Drainage system is the best method for control of storm water for this site.
The soils on the site are Alderwood series (5)per the SCS Soil Map but a soil
investigation by Anstey Engineering found the soils to be medium sand, so the use of
total infiltration for the disposal of storm runoff is practical.
Soils Logged March 1, 2017 weather was cloudy
Vek,
AE2017-27
