RESOLUTION NO. 7321 014-17 <br /> A RESOLUTION concerning 2018 Supplemental <br /> Community Development Block Grant and 2060 Housing <br /> Trust Fund reallocations and Annual Action Plan Amendment. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council recognizes the need for certain housing and community <br /> development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)to provide for these programs; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett received 2060 Housing Trust (AHTF) <br /> funds from Snohomish County this year; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett is in receipt of 1990 Housing Trust funds program income funds and is <br /> available to redistribute; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 20, 2018 the City Council approved the initial 2018 funding allocations <br /> WHEREAS, due to receipt of unexpected program income from loan payoffs and other factors, unused <br /> CDBG funds are available for disbursement; <br /> WHEREAS, HUD rules require timeliness of grant expenditure; <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development (CAC) has <br /> studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its <br /> recommendations for CDBG funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council recognizes that different funding sources are more suited to certain <br /> projects than other funds sources due to regulatory requirements and restrictions; <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council has reviewed the recommendations from the CAC; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2018 Supplemental Funding Reallocations and 2018 Annual Action Plan amendment <br /> are proposed in cooperation with Snohomish County and local non-profit providers through notice and <br /> consultation as required by HUD; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> THAT: <br /> 1 <br />
