PUBLIC WORKS
o Refer to related comments above regarding use of current City standards to
determine and document the long-term design infiltration rate for sizing
proposed infiltration facilities.
o List the applicable design standards that were the basis for design of the
proposed infiltration facility.
o Document the proposed design and how it meets the applicable design
requirements, including but not limited to horizontal and vertical setback
requirements, control structure design, geometry(e.g., berm width and
sideslopes,pond geometry, etc.).
o Drawing C-09—Infiltration Basin Grading& SWPPP provides the following
note: "Pond grading to be coordinated with mining reclamation
grading". The final grading, including but not limited to bottom elevation,
side slopes, and berm dimensions, must meet the applicable design
requirements for infiltration ponds per the SWMM, and the infiltration
feasibility assessment and design recommendations must be based on
representative grading assumptions that reflect the final design and installed
condition.
• MR#6—Runoff Treatment
a. Document the following:
o Type(s) of runoff treatment required(e.g., basic, enhanced,phosphorus, oil
control, other based on applicable basin plans, etc.). See related comment
above on Section 8.5 of the SSP.
o The amount of pollution generating hard surfaces (PGHS) and other surfaces
tributary to each proposed BMP.
o The design flow rate for each proposed BMP, including discussion of
methods and results.
o The treatment capacity of each proposed treatment unit(e.g., filter cartridge).
o The number of treatment units required for each BMP based on the design
flow rates and treatment capacities.
b. Provide WWHM model output reports for sizing of each individual treatment BMP.
• MR#7—Flow Control
o Refer to comments for MR#5.
• MR#9—Operation and Maintenance
o Provide an Operation and Maintenance (O&M)plan per Section 2.5.9, Vol. I
of the SWMM, outlining the party (or parties)responsible for maintenance
and operation. Specify that a copy of the O&M plan shall be retained on-site
'f/Page 7 of 9,;'
l ,a'
