EXHIBIT A-1
KraZan & ASSOCIATES, INC.
GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING • ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
CONSTRUCTION TESTING & INSPECTION
November 28,2018 Proposal No. G18930WAL
Revised November 29,2018 Page 1
City of Everett
3200 Cedar Street
Everett,WA 98201
Attn: Arnie Roshak,P.E.
Associate Engineer,Public Works—Utilities Engineering
Reference: Proposal for Geotechnical Engineering Investigation
UP No. 3691, Sewer Utility Project"0"
Everett,WA
Greetings:
We are pleased to present our scope of work and cost estimate to conduct a geotechnical engineering
investigation for Sewer Project "0", WO# UP3691. This proposal has been developed based on the
information that was provided in your email dated November 7,2018. The email included a Geotechnical
Engineering Scope of Work (Exhibit A-1) and a map showing the approximate locations of the planned
sewer utility alignments. We also based this proposal on a review of available topographic and geologic
maps of the site area, aerial photographs of the site areas, as well as experience with projects of similar
size and scope. Descriptions of the new water main alignment locations are summarized in the following
table:
Locations From To Prop.Dia.
Colby Avenue 3701 Street 4001 Street 12"-24"
Lombard Avenue 32nd Street 3501 Street 18"
Alley Between Lombard& 33rd Street 32"d Street --
Oakes
Alley Between Oakes& 3401 Street 32"d Street --
Rockefeller
Alley Between Lombard& 3601 Street 3501 Street --
Broadway
35th Street Oakes Avenue McDougall Avenue 36"
McDougall Avenue 3501 Street 36th Street 36"
It is our understanding that the project will include the installation of new sewer line conveyance systems
south of downtown Everett. Sewer pipes will generally range from about 12 inches to 36 inches in
diameter. In addition to the new sewer pipes, the project will likely include the replacement of drainage
system inlets and catch basins, as well as drainage pipes at intersections where new combined sewer
mains will be constructed. Based on existing sewer pipe invert elevations, the new sewer pipes generally
will range from about 10 feet to 25 feet deep. The project will also include a trenchless crossing under
Broadway at the intersection with 35th Street.
It appears that the proposed sewer system improvements will be located within City of Everett Right-Of-
Way(ROW)and easements.
Offices Serving The Western United States
4303—19801 Street SW•Lynnwood,Washington 98036•(425)485-5519•Fax(425)485-6837
