The mission of the national ICAC Task Force Program is to provide <br /> assistance to state and local law enforcement agencies to ensure an effective response to technology- <br /> facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children.As the Lead Agency for the <br /> Washington State ICAC Task Force,the Seattle Police Department requests the execution of this interagency <br /> agreement by the Everett Police Department as confirmation of participation and acknowledgement of the <br /> established operational and investigative standards.Participation in the Task Force provides additional <br /> investigative resources and assistance and potential training opportunities. There is no financial obligation <br /> associated with participation in the Task Force. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interagency Agreement with the Seattle Police Department regarding <br /> participation in the Washington State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for 2018 and subsequent <br /> years. <br /> 75 <br />
