I <br /> City of Everett 01 1100 - 1 <br /> 1 Evergreen Branch Library Expansion 2017-008 <br /> SECTION 01 1100 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> I <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> I1.1 WORK COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT <br /> I A. Briefly and without force and effect on requirements of the Contract Document, the work <br /> of this contract comprises the Building expansion of 5,580 sq. ft. and interior <br /> modernization of 8,730 sq. ft., including the addition of a fire suppression system; <br /> I Associated site and utility improvements including abatement and demolition of an <br /> existing residential structure located at Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, <br /> Everett WA. <br /> IB. JOB DESCRIPTION: The following is a general outline, and is not intended to be a <br /> complete listing of the work to be accomplished nor is it intended to be used to indicate <br /> the order the work is to be completed. All items listed below is a general list of items <br /> I <br /> included in the work and should be verified prior to bidding. The Work includes but is <br /> not limited to the supply and installation of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary <br /> to perform the work in full. <br /> IC. Base Bid includes the following items: , <br /> 1. Site demolition and abatement. <br /> I 2. Site improvements including parking expansion, storm detention, and frontage <br /> improvements along Evergreen Way. <br /> 3. Building expansion and modernization. <br /> 4. Associated mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, and electrical modifications <br /> I and additions. <br /> 5. Site and building signage, casework, and shelving modifications. <br /> 6. Site cleanup and restoration. <br /> ID. Work under the Contract shall also include: <br /> 1. Protection and shoring of existing structures from excessive loading of any type <br /> I during the work. <br /> 2. Protection of work in place and all stored items relating to the work. <br /> 3. Moving of any stored items or temporary facility where it interferes with work by <br /> I the Owner or under separate contract.. <br /> 4. Providing and paying for additional on-site or off-site storage facilities, work areas <br /> or parking needed for safe and efficient execution of the work or to meet other <br /> terms of the contract. <br /> I 5. Installing any items noted as furnished by the Owner, installed by the Contractor <br /> (FOIC) <br /> II E. CONTRACTS <br /> 1. The Work shall be performed under one Prime Contract and shall consist of all <br /> work being complete and ready for use, as indicated on the drawings and as <br /> I specified in these specifications, including alternates agreed upon by the Owner <br /> and the Contractor, at the time of award of the contract, or such later time as <br /> mutually agreed upon by the Owner and the Contractor. <br /> 1 01 1100 - 1 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />
