Ted de Budden f-/(9 `1
From: Ted de Budden
Sent: Monday, May 22, 2017 4:58 PM
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: 8104 Beverly Blvd.
Don,
Here is a summary I have prepared based on the observations I made today during the inspection conducted with you
and Land use Planner Kembra Landry at 8104 Beverly Blvd.
Records and inspection observations verify that alterations and additions have occurred on the premises without
required permits and inspection approvals.
This work has created code violations as described and referenced below.
The unpermitted alterations and additions include but are not limited to:
1. Modification and enclosure of a second story deck area to create habitable space. (IPMC 108.1.5)
2. Electrical wiring and equipment installed in an unsafe and unacceptable manner throughout the property, inside the
buildings and outside strewn across the site. (IPMC 108.1.5 and 108.1.2)
3.Storage structures have been erected within setback areas on the property. (IPMC section 108.1.4)
4.The owner indicated that an apartment unit has been created on the ground floor area of the dwelling complete with
separate kitchen, bathroom, sleeping and living rooms. (IRC section 105.1 and IPMC section 108.1.4)
Some of these code violations are life safety hazards that should be corrected immediately.
I encourage and support enforcement efforts to seek compliance and abatement of these conditions.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide support in this matter.
Regards
Ted M. de Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
1
