Response—gate is open mesh <br /> and doesn't affect the energy code.Note added to drawing. <br /> Pedestrian Security Gates: (#B1610-039) <br /> 2. 10 inch smooth kick plate on push-side,full width of door,required per ICC A117.1- <br /> 2009 section 404.2.9. Response—note added at both gates. <br /> 3. Door and adjacent gate should be located(dimensioned)on the plans. Response— <br /> dimension note added at both gates. <br /> 4. Doesn't the security gate near stair 2 have to swing in the direction of egress,especially <br /> since there is no direct access to the public way when the garage door is closed? <br /> Response—The gate can swing as shown because the occupant load is less than 50.
