The standard process to re-energize is for an Everett
electrical inspector to inspect the property (upon request by the owner) to verify that the
electrical system serving the building is approved to be re-energized. We then place our
approval sticker on the panel and inform the owner to contact the PUD for re-energization.
In this case, however, PUD has record of a request for re-energization by the Everett Fire
Department and power was restored. I am attempting to find out from our side how this
request was made so that we can avoid future, similar instances.
In this current situation, the electrical system has not been inspected and approved for service
by the Everett Building Department (electrical inspector) and the building remains a dangerous
structure. Therefore, this is a request to have the electrical service disconnected at 3825
Colby until the building is approved by us for re-energization.
Thank you for your time in this matter. I may be reached directly at (425) 257-8812 if there
are any additional concerns.
Sincerely,
Tony Lee
Building Official
City of Everett
1
