Kirk Brooks
From: Arnie Roshak
Sent: Friday,July 21, 2017 12:50 PM
To: Kirk Brooks
Subject: 3310 McDougal
Hi Kirk,
See my comments below for 3310 McDougal:
We determined that the site prior to 1997 shall be considered existing conditions. There was less than 3500 sf of
impervious area on the site at that time, therefore, only minimum requirements 1-5 are required for the project.
Do not connect roof downspouts to side sewers or laterals, use splash blocks(route first through landscaped area,
where feasible)and sheet flow to the storm drain system.
The drainage in the right of way needs to be directed to the 12"separated storm drain line in the 33rd/McDougal
intersection (preferred)or across the street to the 8"SD in McDougal. Revise the alignment and profile of the proposed
storm drain in the right of way,as needed, so that it discharges to the existing SD. Do not discharge the proposed storm
drain to the combined sewer in McDougall, and do not discharge it to the private drain line from the •roperty.
Catch basin#4 and #6 should be revised to be inlets per COE standard drawing 401. Reduce the number of structures in
the ROW, if feasible.
r
f
A floatable material separator structure shall be 'rovided, per standard drawing 413 or 414, as the last structure on the
drainage line coming from the parking lot and privided in the ROW prior to discharging to the combined sewer.
Also, their survey shows that the drain line at th south side of the property is on their property and not the neighbor's
property to the south. This differs from what is spawn in our GIS(the GIS shows the property line farther north). As long
as their surveyed property boundary and drain location is correct they will not need an easement to connect to it.
Also, I noticed they are connecting to a wa erline\behind the sidewalk,on the opposite side of McDougall. Our GIS
shows the water behind the sidewalk is a 4s" tran mission main and the 8" DI main is in the north bound lane. If the
water department hasn't already commen -d on t S is,we will want to confirm they are connecting to the right water line
here(!)
7 -2.6" -17
Thanks, _
Cmc /
Arnie Roshak, PE
City of Everett Public Works Neel C® ie el4r1(I At, -h--0 yl'
3200 Cedar St / / ,l'/ -
Everett,WA 98201 L e/s ,s6e z ?C egse.
Direct:425-257-7249
Fax:425-257-8882
ARoshak@everettwa.gov /(;i't
1
