OMEGA2707 Wetmore Avenue
Everett, WA 98209
ENGINEERING, INC. t 425.387-3820
f 425.259.1958
August 10th, 2017
Kirk Brooks Arnie Roshak, PE
Development Technician Sewer/Drainage Engineer
City of Everett City of Everett
Public Works Public Works
RE: First Preliminary Engineering Plan Review Comments for 3310 McDougall
Pre-App Meeting#: 17-001
Dear Kirk,
This letter is intended to summarize the changes made to the engineering package reviewed during the
initial permit review for this project. This letter addresses comments from you and other city staff
members which were provided in an email dated July 25th, 2017.
Sewer/Drainage(Arnie Roshak)
1. Due to the layout of the developed site, splash blocks would not be beneficial in this case. There
is little vegetation that will remain on-site after final construction and a vegetated sheet flow path
would not be met.
2. The proposed stormwater system within the right-of-way of McDougall has been rerouted to direct
runoff north toward the intersection of McDougall and 33rd. The system will tightline to the
existing stormline near this intersection, per discussions with City staff. See revised sheets 3 and
4.
3. Catch basins 4 and 6 are now proposed to be installed per COE standard drawing 401. See
revised sheet 4.
4. A floatable material separator has been added to the last structure in the proposed on-site
drainage system, which connects to an existing stormline on-site before discharging to the
combined sewer within the right-of-way. See revised sheet 3.
5. The drain line was also field verified and is located on the project site.
Water Review
1. The utilities sheet has been updated per the redlines on the plan. The correct water line is shown
and the new fire line is now shown connecting to this line (8"). See revised sheet 3.
Planner
1. The sidewalk has been updated to show 8' in width.
2. The landscaping note has been added to the plans. Please see sheet 1.
2
