Please provide a floor plan and section cut to provide the location of the hood canopy with respect to the equipment that is venting. Overhangs and clearances must comply with IMC 507.12. 2. Thc proposed sketch indicates a 2 inch air space between the canopy and the steel faced mineral wool. This clearance would not be in compliance with IMC 507.9 if the wall behind the mineral wool were to be of any wood or combustible materials. Endosed is a copy of our Type 1 Hood Permit submittal checklist. This may provide some guidance if you are dealing with combustible materials. Upon resubmittal of tlie drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will recommence.
