We had Everett PD go through and clear
the building this morning(no inhabitants), and we are currently abating the structure for demo(1-2 days). Our plan is to
board up the openings and post some no trespassing signs this afternoon. Utilities are disconnected and we plan on
taking the structure down ASAP; hopefully next week but we are at the mercy of the demo contractor. I apologize for
taking so long in securing the building but hopefully this will not be a problem for too much longer.
Jason Andersen koz Development
From:Jason Andersen <Jason@kozdevelopment.com>
Date:Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:21 AM
To: Chad Harris<CHarris@everettwa.gov>
Subject: Re: 1020 North Broadway Everett
Chad,
I am providing you with another update regarding our 1020 property.
We are trying to get this property secure, but are still working through some minor issues. Our contractor has reached
out to 7 different fence companies and is on#8; all of which are telling him they are 2 or even 3 weeks out for a
fence. We (KOZ) are trying our own contacts. We(KOZ) have already started down the path for abatement and demo of
this building and have both a demo contractor and an abatement company that we are working with. Both companies
are trying to expedite this project and if things work out we could start taking the building down sometime around the
17th of this month (approximately 2 weeks).
In the meantime,we found out that a form needed to be filed with the EPD before we can call them to clear the
building. We have since filed the form and are looking at scheduling the contractor to at least board up the openings.
Once again, I apologize for the delay in securing our property,we are really trying to stay on this and work out a
solution.
Jason Andersen I kik Development
From: Chad Harris<CHarris@everettwa.gov>
Date:Tuesday,July 31, 2018 at 1:17 PM
To:Jason Andersen <Jason@kozdevelopment.com>
Subject: RE: 1020 North Broadway Everett
Thanks Jason.
