The property inspection conditions revealed the following: A fence is located between the public street and the front of the building. This is not permitted in a commercial zone. The property zoning is B-3 Central Business District. In commercial zones, fences may not be located between any public street and the front of any building. The presence of a fence located between the public street and the front of the building, is not permitted in a commercial zone. This is a violation of Everett Municipal Code (EMC) 19.39.070 (B), which reads; EMC 19.39.070 (B) Fences B. Location. Fences shall not interfere with the vision clearance from public streets or alleys for corner lots as required in subsection C of this section. In commercial zones,fences may not be located between any public street and the front of any building unless required for screen purposes by Chapter 19.35. *** To resolve this matter you must: 1. Remove the fence between the public street and the front of the building. Corrective action must be fully completed on or before November 20, 2017.
