r t
GSR
Associated
Attention: Architect/Structural Engineer
Supporting strength data represent typical field data collected for similar
mixes and ingredients from previous projects, and similar strengths may
be expected with proper placement, curing, and testing.
ASTM C31 Standard Practice for Making and Curing Concrete Test Specimens
in the Field should be strictly followed for sampling, making, curing, and
testing concrete specimens. Of extreme importance is proper initial curing
of test specimens. Test specimens should be made for acceptance of quality
of materials. Separate specimens should be made for testing in-place concrete
l strength as required.
Concrete placement and curing should be in accordance with ACI 304 & 308,
and Recommended Practices for Cold Weather Concreting ACI 306, or
Hot Weather Concreting ACI 305, should be followed when conditions require.
CSR/Associated warrants the quality of materials supplied and cannot accept
responsibility for strength of in-place concrete represented by improper
placement, curing, or testing procedures. Test specimens not made, cured,
and tested in accordance with specification shall be invalid and not used
as a basis for acceptance of concrete or deficient payment penalty.
Evaluation and Acceptance of Concrete will be per ACI 318 & UBC 26-05.
We request copies of jobsite concrete test reports to be forwarded to:
Mr. Chris McBride, CSR/Associated, P.O.
