January 7, 1987
Carl Munding Administrator
Providence Hospital
P.O. Box 1067
Everett, WA 98206
Re: Providence Athletic Center
Dear Mr. Munding:
CITV OF
everett
pTv MALL • 359855
EVEAETT WASMNGTON
98201
After reviewing your letter of December 30, 1986, concern3ng the raquirement
for a Special Property Use Permit under Title 19.58 of the Everett Municipal
Code (E.M.C.), I have determined that the nature of the proposed activity does
not fall within the scope of the requirements of the Special Property Use
Permit section of the code. Therefore, a Special Property Use Permit is not
required as long as the proposed activity meets the following eriteria:
The facility does not provide a direct hospital elient service.
The activity is not a normal non-profit activity of the hospital
providing patient services.
The facility is open Lo the general public on a space available basis.
The use is consistent with other uses permitted outright in the zone.
If the use or aetivity should substantially deviate from the above conditions,
the City may require Providence Hospital to apply £or a Special Property Use
Permit for the activity.
Enclosed is your cheek for $150 and your application materials Which would be
of use should a Special Pruperty Use Permit be required in the future.
Sincerely,
DENNIS L.
