) rid ' -a ? 3 1of3 <br /> LONGITUDE <br /> ONE TWEN TY° <br /> ENGINEERING 8+DESIGN <br /> Helical Pile Review for Structural Compliance/Capacity <br /> Date: November 29, 2018 <br /> Project Name:7215 Juniper Dr. Foundation Stabilization Effort L120 Project#S180907-1 <br /> Project Location: 7215 Juniper Dr., Everett,WA 98203 <br /> Client's Name: Korey Yada, Production Coordinator—Permitting, Ram Jack West <br /> To Whom It May Concern: <br /> The purpose of this letter is to give structural input for the compliance of the final structural capacity of the <br /> installed product to meet or exceed the required maximum loading demand as determined by structural analysis. <br /> This letter is based on the helical pile installation log dated November 26,2018, provided to L120 by Ram Jack <br /> West for Ram Jack Job#018-462. <br /> With the grade-beams at a maximum span of 8'-0"on center at the exterior,the maximum required vertical <br /> capacity that L120 determined was 18 kips(ultimate)for helical piles.These demand requirements are as <br /> determined and specified in L120's structural calculation package issued on September 11,2018. <br /> Pile capacities for helical piles as provided by Ram Jack are attached to this letter. Per the attached documents,a <br /> 2-7/8"gs helical pile installed between 6ft and 11ft deep with a 2.5K drive head at a minimum pressure of 2,400psi <br /> results in an ultimate capacity of 20 kips. The results are summarized below: <br /> Helical: <br /> Maximum Demand(ultimate)=18.0k <br /> Available Capacity(ultimate)=20.0 k(2.5K drive head) <br /> By inspection,the pile capacity of the installed helical piles exceeds the maximum loading demand as determined <br /> by L120's analysis.Therefore,the installed piles comply with the structural design/demand. <br /> Please let me know if you have any questions. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Mans R.Thurfjell, P.E <br /> L120 Engineering&Design (L120) <br /> ., . , • • - •. <br />
