I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br /> CLEVELAND AVENUE SEWER SYSTEM REPLACEMENT <br /> AND STORM WATER SEPARATION <br /> WO No. UP3398 <br /> NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the CLEVELAND AVENUE SEWER SYSTEM REPALACEMENT AND <br /> STORM WATER SEPARATION will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 <br /> Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. At the appointed time, all <br /> bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in an assigned conference room on the 8th floor of the Wall Street <br /> Building. Engineer's estimate for this Project is$ 7,200,000. <br /> Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for <br /> construction of a new pipe conveyance system to separate, collect, and treat stormwater from existing combined <br /> sewer system; rehabilitate and replace existing combined sewer collection systems; and street/sidewalk restoration. <br /> Project involves construction of approximately 6,000 LF of new storm drainage pipe (4-inch to 24-inch dia.) with <br /> approximately 61 catch basin and manhole structures and approximately 10 water quality treatment structures. <br /> Construction of approximately 5,300 LF of existing combined sewer replacements (8-inch to 12-inch dia.) with <br /> approximately 32 manhole structures (48-inch to 72-inch) and reconnection of 108 existing side sewers; asphalt <br /> street restoration; curb, gutter, sidewalk, and curb ramp reconstruction; and other such appurtenances and <br /> performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and Contract Provisions. <br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to <br /> Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public <br /> Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the <br /> ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online <br /> digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of <br /> future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not <br /> be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued <br /> on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with <br /> access or registration. <br /> All bids must be made upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond <br /> or certified check in an amount not less than five percent(5%) of the total amount of the Bid. <br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder may <br /> withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award <br /> as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of <br /> forty-five (45) days after bid opening. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal <br /> laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. <br /> It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology.
