The PSRC is in the process of updating the RGS by extending the plan horizon to 2050, and setting new growth targets. PSRC will be releasing a draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement(SEIS) on February 28,which compares the environmental impacts of three alternative growth scenarios. That starts a 30-day comment period for the public to provide comments to PSRC about the three alternatives. Each alternative proposes different population and job growth targets for Everett in 2050. The preliminary growth numbers in the three alternatives propose population growth between 2017 and 2050 of an additional 82,000 (low)to 120,000 (high)persons; and employment growth for the same timeframe ranging from 76,000 (low)to 96,000 (high) additional jobs. Staff will provide an overview of the Vision 2050 major policy issues, schedule for adoption,and implications for required amendments to the City's comprehensive plan. Staff would like feedback from the City Council about how the City should comment on the Draft SEIS. RECOMMENDATION: No action is required at this time. 11
