1
INTRODUCTION
Hatfield & Dawson Consulting Engineers hs been retained by Cleanvire, LLC ("Clearwire") to
evalate the proposed Cleanvire wireless broadband telecommunications "View Crest Pole"
tacility, number WA-SN0200•B, for compliance with curent Federsl Communications
Commission (FCC) and local rules regarding pubiic exposure lo radioirequency (RF)
electronagnetic(ieids (EMFs).
Site plan, elevation and antenna-mounting drawings farnished by Clearwire representatives show
that thc, proposed Cleanvire (aciiiry will be configured as (ollows: three panel antennas, all to be
(lush-mounted on an exlended 56-(oot tall SNO-PUD utilily pole adjacent to 2623 View Crest Ave,
Everetl, in Snoliomish County, Washington.
The new Clearwire antnnas will be mounled and centered on the pole at approxirr, ately the 48-
foot level. The utility pole is shown without climbing appurtenances. The pole supports high-
vol;age electricai utility lines below the level oi lhe proposed Clearwire antennas. Thus it is
unlikely thai anyone other than authorized RF workers could approach near enough to any of
the proposed antennas to cause that person's RF exposure tu exceed FCC limits.
The following analysis w'll consider the efiects oi the proposed Ciearwire facility on the AF
exposure environment. It is expected that RF exposure conditions near ground Ievel at the View
Crest Pole site, and on all adjacenl properties, due to the contributions irom all transmitting
antennas on ihe 56-ioot utility pole will be well below the FCC public exposure limit.
To verify that the proposed Cleanvire facility will be in compliance with FCC and local rules
regarding public exposure to RF fields, I have performed EMF pow2r density calculations to
delermine ihe exposure condilions thdt are likely to exist in areas near the proposed tacility.
I
I latlicll fi Dacson Canultimt Lnginccrs

6
