OLT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7348 <br /> A RESOLUTION placing the <br /> "Sittig House" at 1927 Rucker Avenue <br /> on the Everett Register of Historic Places <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Ordinance 1355-87 (amended 1956-93) authorizing the <br /> Everett Historical Commission to consider the merits of properties for placement on the Everett <br /> Register of Historic Places and to recommend to the Everett City Council that properties be placed on <br /> the Everett Register; and <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of 1927 Rucker Avenue, Devan Miller and Jeremy Lerond, have requested <br /> that the home be placed on the Everett Register of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request, held a public hearing on <br /> February 26, 2010, and determined that the Sittig House, built in 1893, is at least 50 years old and <br /> eligible for consideration to be added to the Everett Register of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 2.96.050 identifies several categories in which a building would be considered <br /> eligible for the Everett Register of Historic Places if it meets at least one of those categories; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Sittig House is one of the few remaining homes of this age that embodies the <br /> distinctive architectural characteristics of that type,period or style. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> The Everett City Council concurs with the recommendation of the Everett Historical Commission and <br /> places the Sittig House at 1927 Rucker Avenue on the Everett Register of Historic Places. <br /> w <br /> Co ,�il Memb, Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and Approved this 13 day of <br /> March, 2019. <br /> Scott Bader, Council President <br />
