1 ;TEETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7349 <br /> A RESOLUTION placing the <br /> "Hilzinger House" at 2108 Rucker Avenue <br /> on the Everett Register of Historic Places <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Ordinance 1355-87 (amended 1956-93) authorizing the <br /> Everett Historical Commission to consider the merits of properties for placement on the Everett <br /> Register of Historic Places and to recommend to the Everett City Council that properties be placed on <br /> the Everett Register; and <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of 2108 Rucker Avenue, Rucker II LLC (Gary Nelson) have requested that the <br /> home be placed on the Everett Register of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request, held a public hearing on <br /> February 26, 2010, and determined that the Hilzinger House, built in 1907, is at least 50 years old and <br /> eligible for consideration to be added to the Everett Register of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS,EMC 2.96.050 identifies several categories in which a building would be considered <br /> eligible for the Everett Register of Historic Places if it meets at least one of those categories; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hilzinger House is a significant four-square home that embodies the distinctive <br /> architectural characteristics of that type,period or style; and <br /> WHEREAS, George and Ida Hilzinger were the original owners through the early 1940s, and Mr. <br /> Hilzinger started the Hilzinger Motor Company and was an Everett City Councilman in 1908. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> The Everett City Council concurs with tr <br /> - recommendation of the Evere• ''storical Commission and <br /> places the Hilzinger Home at 2108 Ru' Avenue on the Everett Reg' - •f istoric Places. <br /> -'A , <br /> r ouncil Me I:er Introduc/Reso d tion <br /> Passed and Approved this 13 day of <br /> March, 2019. <br /> 11 <br /> Scott Bader, Council President <br />
