RESOLUTION NO. 7353 EL/F1r . A RESOLUTION concerning 2019 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of CDBG, HOME and 2060 Housing Trust Funds WHEREAS, the Everett City Council recognizes the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for these programs, and Everett estimates receiving approximately $790,805 for the 2019 program year; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development (CAC) has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council has reviewed the recommendations from the CAC; and WHEREAS, the 2019 Annual Action Plan is proposed in cooperation with Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers through notice and consultation as required by HUD; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2019 Public Service Projects (CDBG) Recommended ARC Independent Living (Housing Services) $7,500 Boys and Girls Club Everett Music Initiative $5,000 Catholic Community Services Volunteer Transportation $3,000 Cocoon House: WayOUT (Recidivism prevention youth offenders $7,081 and at-risk youth) Hand in Hand Village Impact Project $3,000 Housing Hope College of Hope $8,000 Housing Hope Tomorrow's Hope Childcare $5,000 Homage (Senior Services) Meals on Wheels $16,000 Interfaith Shelter B Operations $39,540
