February 2019 City of Everett <br /> Exhibit A—Scope of Work <br /> Task Description Estimated Hours Reimbursed Estimated <br /> Principal CP Tech. Expenses Budget <br /> A corrosion evaluation of the buried piping at the water treatment plant will be performed <br /> as described by the following subtasks. Northwest Corrosion Engineering will provide <br /> field testing, recommend sites for piping exposure,perform non-destructive testing at <br /> excavation locations, and provide a report of our findings. Excavation work, shoring, <br /> personnel retrieval requirements,and repair of concrete/asphalt will be by others. <br /> a) Review of underground piping drawings and other design documents. 4 - $782.20 <br /> b) On-site testing of buried piping to include: locating, depth of cover <br /> determination, pipe-to-soil potential measurements at accessible locations, <br /> electrical continuity testing between piping sections,current response testing,and <br /> current requirement testing. This portion of the evaluation will not require 40 40 Mileage$174 $11,933.20 <br /> assistance from facility personnel beyond gaining access to the site and <br /> coordinating our work such that the field testing does not interrupt plant <br /> operations. <br /> c) In-situ soil testing at representative locations. Collection of up to five soil Mileage$70 <br /> 5 samples for chemical constituent analysis. Based upon results of testing,select 10 10 Lab$750 $2,983.30 <br /> six locations to expose and evaluate the plants piping. <br /> d) Meet with City personnel to discuss preliminary results of field testing. Discuss <br /> the six potential exposure sites for visual inspection, non-destructive corrosion 8 8 Mileage$35 $2,386.64 <br /> evaluation,and protective coatings assessment. <br /> e) Work with the City to expose piping and conduct a detailed inspection of the <br /> exposed surfaces. The estimated hours are based upon evaluating six separate <br /> locations,one location per site visit. If conditions allow,multiple inspections can 72 72 Mileage$417 $21,479.76 <br /> be completed during one site visit. All work associated with performing the <br /> excavation,shoring,personnel retrieval requirements,and providing access to the <br /> piping surface will be provided by others. <br /> f) Provide draft report of inspection results.
