In response to your concerns to provide separation between
the stair and elevator shaft, we are showing fire -rated
galvanized steel roll -up curtains, with guide tracks mounted
beside the elevator door frames, and the hood concealed
within the ceiling assembly. These are, convolled by smoke
detectors, which will automatically close the fire curtain in case
of fire, closing off the elevator shaft, and providing separation
from the stair. This is shown on the Refl. Clg. Plans on
sheets A-3 & A-4.
10. Door #3 has been eliminated, and doors #8 & #10 have
been corrected to show the required maneuvering clearances.
These corrections are made to sheet A-1.
11. The contractor has discontinued work at the site. No further
work will take place until your concerns are addressed, and
a permit is issued.
Please call if I can be of any assistance, or if you need additional
information.
