The agreement details the services that City personnel <br /> provide for the exterior grounds and rail platform at Everett Station. <br /> Amendment No. 1 codifies a proposed partnership between ST and the City to deploy security upgrades at Everett Station, <br /> including ST's park and ride adjacent to-and east of the station. ST will replace aging video cameras at Everett Station and new <br /> cameras will be added to ST's park and ride. The Customer Emergency Stations,located on both ST and City property,will be <br /> upgraded to replace obsolete technology. <br /> Amendment No. 1 reflects the following material changes to Agreement: <br /> 1) Exhibit G—The Information Technology System is the basis for the cost allocation between ST and the City. Everett Transit <br /> will bear a one-time cost of$30,000 for 11 video cameras and the associated infrastructure for equipment located in areas of <br /> Everett Station that do not directly benefit ST. <br /> 2) The cost/revenue structure is modified to reflect annual pass through expense savings of$2,400 to ST. <br /> 3) Monitoring of Customer Emergency Stations will be shared between agencies to provide 24/7 coverage. Call stations are <br /> currently monitored by Everett Station security from 6am-1 Opm daily. ST will monitor them between 10 pm and 6 am. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No.1 to the Everett Stat4r7Operations and Maintenance Agreement with Sound Transit. <br />
