The project is needed to address <br /> surface and basement flooding and capacity issues with the existing combined sewer system. <br /> Bids were opened on March 19,2019, and thirteen(13)bid proposals were received for the construction of <br /> the Alverson Stormwater Separation project. On March 20,2019,the City received the Notice of Bid Error <br /> from Strider Construction Co. Inc., and request of relief of responsibilities from contract award in accordance <br /> with the bid specifications. With Council's acceptance of Strider's bid error declaration,Rodarte <br /> Construction Inc. becomes the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at a price of$1,460,182.00. City <br /> staff recommends that Rodarte Construction Inc. be awarded the construction contract for Alverson <br /> Stonuwater Separation project in the amount of$1,460,182.00. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Accept the Notice of Bid Error from Strider Construction Co.
