April 3, 2019 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., April 3, 2019, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call, it was <br /> found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, <br /> Vogeli, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 27, 2019, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Roberts and Bader abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin stated that she is scheduled to be out of town next week <br /> and will be asking President Bader to bring forward her recommendations <br /> for appointments to the Diversity Advisory Board. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy reported on his attendance last week at the <br /> Snohomish County Tomorrow Steering Committee meeting and the Public <br /> Facilities District Board meeting. He also provided a recap of the Budget <br /> Subcommittee meeting held earlier this evening. <br /> Council Member Vogeli spoke about the impacts of opiod use on the <br /> community. She spoke about a friend who died of an apparent overdose <br /> and reminded everyone that drug use affects everyone. She also stated <br /> another friend was recently detained in Arizona by ICE, and a food sale to <br /> help raise funds for the family's homecoming will be held on Sunday, April <br /> 7, 2019, 9 a.m.,12605 Gibson Road. Council Member Vogeli reported on <br /> her attendance at a Victim Support Services luncheon today and stated the <br /> 24-hour hotline is 888-288-9221. <br /> Council Member Roberts spoke about the executive summary "Growing the <br /> Green Economy in Washington State," which was distributed to council <br /> members. He also reported on his attendance last week at the WaterNow <br /> Alliance Annual Summit. <br /> 95 <br />
