The Land Use Element of the Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> 165,000 within the city limits(of 2015)and 50,000 in the unincorporated MUGA. The Land Use Element shall <br /> population level of 215,000. Everett's 2035 population target within the city limits(of 2015)is 143,000. <br /> Objective 2.13 Economic Growth Objective: The Land Use Element of the Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> 2015),and approximately 8,300 in the unincorporated MUGA,by 2035. The Land Use Element shall provide <br /> employment level of 153,300. Everett's 2035 employment target within the city limits(of 2015)is 140,000. <br /> Objective 2.14 Inter jurisdictional Cooperation Objective:The City of Everett will participate in the <br /> •::. . • .-: --: : -- •- -- iliatien and Monitoring Process with Snohomish County Tomorrow,other <br /> cities in Snohomish County,and Snohomish County. It is recognized that not all comprehensive plans will be <br /> adopted at the same time,so there is the need to review and monitor the comprehensive plan holding capacities <br /> over time and,at least initially,on an annual basis. LAND USE POLICIES <br /> The section headings listed within the body of policies arc those topics that the Growth Management Act requires. <br /> attempts to be consistent with the direction given by the Growth Management Act,VISION 2040 Regional <br /> Growth Strategy,and Countywide Planning Policies. The policies also address pertinent land use issues for the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> 2.1 Residential Land Use Policies <br /> -- - - '. ._ - : .nd use designations of the Land Use Element arc responsible to implement,to a <br /> great extent,the City's Population Growth Objectives and many of the policies of the Housing Element. The Land <br /> Use Element must designate enough land at sufficient densities to accommodate the projected population <br /> allocated to of-the Everett Planning Area, and to provide housing opportunities for all economic segments of the <br /> community. <br /> Policy 2.1.1 Assure a wide range of housing opportunities throughout the entire community,while <br /> preserving and creating distinct residential neighborhoods. Designate on the Land Use Map areas appropriate for <br /> various types of housing at specified density ranges, but without major changes in most residential areas to the <br /> existing land use designations. <br /> Policy 2.1.2 Promote increased densities and infill housing types in all residential neighborhoods through <br /> appropriate design standards that reinforce the single family character of areas zoned single family,and which <br /> assure that multiple family developments integrate with and enhance the neighborhoods in which they are <br /> permitted. <br /> LAND USE ELEMENT, 2019 Amendment 16 <br /> Exhibit 1 -Page 16 <br />
