This designation is applied in <br /> various locations throughout the Everett Planning Area that have at least 3 of the following characteristics: <br /> a) Located n ar public transit facilities or along transit corridors; <br /> b) Located near employment ar as; <br /> c) Located near commercial services or community facilities such as parks,community centers or schools; <br /> d) Creates a transition from higher intensity uses,such as commercial or industrial development to lower <br /> intensity residential neighborhoods; <br /> c) Arc not disruptive of existing single family neighborhoods; <br /> f) Arc already developed with a significant amount of multiple family housing; <br /> g) Are adjacent to permanent open space. <br /> 4. High Density Multiple Family Residential. ("1.7"and"1.8"on the Land Use Map.) This designation is applied <br /> to residentially zoned areas within and surrounding the Metro Everett Ar a, n ar transit stations and transit <br /> corridors. <br /> 5. Parks Public Olen S'ace. (2.o on the Land Use Map.) This designation has been applied to existing parks, <br /> golf courses,and publicly owned open space areas. See Open Space Policies. <br /> 6. Schools/Churches. (2.1 on the Land Use Map.) This designation has been applied to existing schools and <br /> churches. See Policies for"Hard to Site Facilities." <br /> 7. Colleges/Universities. (2.2 on the Land Use Map.) This designation has been applied to existing college <br /> campuses. See Policies for"Hard to Site Facilities." <br /> 8. Cemeteries. (2.3 on the Land Use Map.) This designation has been applied to existing cemeteries. See <br /> Open Space Policies. <br /> 9. H pital. (2.4 on the Land Use Map.) This designation is applied to lands that arc suited for hospitals and <br /> closely related medical activities. See Hospital Land Use Policies. <br /> 10.
