1 of 3
LONGITUDE
ONE TWENTY
ENGINEERING&DESIGN
Driven Pile Review for Structural Compliance/Capacity
Date: October 20, 2018
Project Name:2031 Rockefeller Ave SE-Stabilization Effort L120 Project#S180726-3
Project Location: 2031 Rockefeller Ave SE, Everett,WA 98201
Client's Name: Korey Yada, Production Coordinator—Permitting, Ram Jack West
To Whom It May Concern:
The purpose of this letter is to give structural input for the compliance of the final structural capacity of the
installed product to meet or exceed the required maximum loading demand as determined by structural analysis.
This letter is based on the driven pile installation log dated October 17,2018, provided to L120 by Ram Jack West
for Ram Jack Job#018-352.
With the grade-beams at a maximum span of 8'-0"on center at the exterior, the maximum required vertical
capacity that L120 determined was 26 kips(ultimate)for driven piles. These demand requirements are as
determined and specified in L120's structural calculation package issued on August 29,2018.
Pile capacities for driven piles as provided by Ram Jack are attached to this letter. Per the attached documents,a
2-7/8"0 driven pile installed between 3ft and 5ft deep at a minimum pressure of 2,000psi results in an ultimate
capacity of 32 kips. The results are summarized below:
Helical:
Maximum Demand(ultimate)=26.0 k
Available Capacity(ultimate)=32.0 k
By inspection, the pile capacity of the installed driven piles exceeds the maximum loading demand as determined
by L120's analysis. Therefore, the installed piles comply with the structural design/demand.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Mans R.Thurfjell, P.E
L120 Engineering&Design(L120)
02) G
0
L.0 ENG.+C ERiNGS DEW:.l'..
