OPrz:N.A1.1 <br /> El/EJ?ETT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3672-19 <br /> An Ordinance revising City Regulations to provide consistency with the Metro Everett Plan, amending <br /> Streets and Sidewalks, Land Division and Zoning Code Regarding Off-Street Parking, Streets and Access <br /> Requirements in accordance with Section 17 of this Ordinance <br /> WHEREAS, in conjunction with the recent adoption of the Everett Metro Plan ("Plan"), a number of <br /> related City regulation were revised to provide consistency with the Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 3616-18 on August 29, 2018, repealed Section 34 of <br /> Ordinance No. 1671-89, regarding off-street parking and loading requirements, and adopting a new <br /> chapter codified at EMC Chapter 19.34 regarding Parking, Loading and Access; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council passed Ordinance No. 3618-18 on August 29, 2018, amending various City <br /> regulations in Title 13 (Streets and Sidewalks) and Title 18 (Land Division)to be consistent with the <br /> development regulations passed in Ordinance No. 3616-18; and <br /> WHEREAS, since passage of these new and amended development regulations in conjunction with the <br /> adoption of the Plan, the City has become aware of corrections or clarifications that are needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, public notice and opportunity to comment on these amendments was provided through <br /> electronic and mail notice to interested parties, a legal notice of public hearing published in the Everett <br /> Herald on February 16, 2019, notice to the Washington State Department of Commerce on February 14, <br /> 2019, and a public hearing held by the Planning Commission on March 5, 2019; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Planning Commission, after consideration of public input, has recommended <br /> approval of the amendments as set forth in this Ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 19.41.170(C) provides for amendment of the Zoning Code (Title 19)when it finds that: <br /> 1) the proposed amendment is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Everett general plan; and <br /> 2) the proposed amendment bears a substantial relation to public health, safety or welfare; and 3) the <br /> proposed amendment promotes the best long term interests of the Everett community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed development regulations bears a substantial relation to public health, safety or <br /> welfare; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> [Proposed changes are shown with a vertical bar in the left hand margin; words struck through are <br /> proposed for deletion; words that are underlined are proposed additions.] <br /> Ordinance No.3672-19 1 <br />
