NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. Subsection 4 of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3635-18 (codified at EMC 3.78.040), <br /> Definition of"Urban center") is amended by adding the underlined words below: <br /> Designated residential target areas. <br /> The boundaries of the designated residential target areas are located within the urban centers listed <br /> below, and as indicated on the maps in Exhibit 1. <br /> URBAN CENTER DESIGNATION <br /> Metropolitan Center Area 1 <br /> Evergreen Way Area 2 (Maps A, B& C) <br /> North Broadway Area 3 <br /> Waterfront Place Area 4 <br /> Riverfront Area 5 <br /> Section 2. Subsection 5.F.1.b. of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3635-18 is amended by adding the <br /> underlined words below: <br /> Area 4 (Waterfront) and Area 5 (Riverfront). Projects located within these areas seeking a 12- <br /> year tax exemption shall provide: <br /> i. 10 percent(10%) of the units affordable to low-income households; and <br /> ii. 10 percent(10%) of the units affordable to moderate-income households. <br /> Section 3.
