<br /> Last year,the events drew a combined total of 3,683 visitors from outside of 50 miles to Everett.With
<br /> funding from the city of Everett,Imagine will use paid online and printed advertisements to further
<br /> promote holiday events happening in Everett at Imagine Children's Museum.The increase in marketing will
<br /> support efforts to increase visitors from out of town,which will support tourism in the City of Everett.
<br /> Ads will be targeted to reach:
<br /> 1.Families, including grandparents and business travelers,throughout Washington State
<br /> 2.Tourists visiting the area from across the United States,Canada and beyond.
<br /> Benefits:
<br /> Events at Imagine Children's Museum provide children and families with the opportunity to have fun while
<br /> learning in a unique and creative environment. Everett business including retail shops and restaurants will
<br /> benefit as many are within walking distance of the Museum and easily accessible by vehicle or public
<br /> transportation. Local hotels and motels will benefit by gaining an increase in hotel/motel guests.To foster
<br /> this effort,Imagine will collaborate with hotels to promote the events and provide free event admission to
<br /> those Museum visitors who present a local hotel/motel room key.
<br /> Imagine Children's Museum is a viable resource for the community that continues to draw visitors from all
<br /> over Washington State and beyond.In 2018, Museum attendance reached an all-time high of over 250,000,
<br /> and approximately 10%came from at least 50 miles away from the Museum. Marketing support from the
<br /> City of Everett will strengthen tourism efforts for local hotels/motels,restaurants and retail stores by
<br /> drawing even more families that are seeking family-friendly holiday events.
<br /> The four events for which we seek funding each bring a unique and desirable benefit to Everett.The Fourth
<br /> of July party is scheduled to coincide with Everett's Fourth of July parade,which gives families added reason
<br /> to spend significant time in the area. Polar City and the North Pole Party happen at Christmastime and
<br /> include family entertainment and one-of-a-kind activities that are original to Imagine Children's Museum.
<br /> The New Year's Eve event has live entertainment and traditional family fun such as bowling and board
<br /> games for children and their families.A traditional ball drop happens on the rooftop in the evening hours so
<br /> the whole family can participate.With increased marketing,these events are anticipated to encourage
<br /> extended visits in Everett.
<br /> Timeline: Funds will be utilized beginning in May 2019 through December 31,2019.
<br /> Measurements: Imagine anticipates that this multi-faceted marketing approach aims to increase the
<br /> number of visitors to Everett and Imagine Children's Museum.To measure this response, Imagine will: 1)
<br /> Track zip codes of Museum visitors;2)Track visitors who use coupons from both print and electronic ads;3)
