1. "Toe" of a steep slope is the lower most limit of the area where the ground surface rises ten feet or <br /> more vertically within a horizontal distance of twenty five feet. <br /> 2. "Top" of a steep slope is a distinct, sharp break in slope which separates slopes inclined at less than <br /> forty percent from slopes equal to or gr ater than forty percent. Where no distinct break in slope exists, <br /> feet or more vertically within a horizontal distance of twenty five feet. <br /> "Stream" means a year round or intermittent water course or route,formed by nature or modified by <br /> human activities and generally consisting of a defined channel with a bed, banks or sides for a <br /> irrigation and drainage ditches, grass lined swales, canals and stormwater runoff devices shall not be <br /> considered to be streams,except where they exist in a natural watercourse that has been altered by <br /> humans.
