NPS Form 10-930(Rev.03/2016) OMB Control No. 1024-0026 <br /> National Park • <br /> Service <br /> e. This activity is authorized to occur during summer season between May 15 and September 30. <br /> 2. Basic Guide Qualifications: As a minimum Wilderness First Responder or First Responder certification required for lead guide(or equivalent) <br /> CPR and First Aid minimum for additional guides.If the guided group stays within 1 mile of their vehicles,then First Aid and CPR certifications <br /> are adequate for all guides. <br /> 3. The area(s)authorized for use under this permit must be left in substantially the same condition as it was prior to the activities authorized herein as <br /> required by the Superintendent. <br /> 4. All litter will be packed out.If there is room,litter left by others should also be packed out. <br /> 5. The CUA holder will model appropriate wilderness practices and incorporate appreciation for wilderness values in their interaction with clients. <br /> The CUA holder will abide by and instruct clients in Leave No Trace principles in sub-alpine and forest environments. This includes proper <br /> sanitation methods for food,water,waste,human waste,and ensuring that safe practices are followed. <br /> 6. The CUA holder is encouraged to comply with the guidelines of the US Public Health Service for Food,Potable Water,Human Waste,Vector- <br /> Borne and Zoonotic Diseases,and Illness Reporting in backcountry operations <br /> https://www.nps.govlpublic_health/,click on"State Health Departments"in left column. <br /> 7. Chemical/fuel stoves may be used. No wood or charcoal fires are allowed in the wilderness <br /> 8. All terms in the CUA holder's application packet are considered to be enforceable under the terms of this authorization. <br /> 9. Cancellation of trips: CUA holder is responsible to contact the Concessions office at(360)569-6514 or jan_crosetto@nps.gov if cancelling their <br /> trips for the season. <br /> 4 <br />
