It may also be a violation of land use codes as there is(possibly)
living space in the front setback.
The building is at least Unlawful per the IPMC for the conversion that has already happened, and may prove to be
unlawful for other unpermitted construction as well.
From:Tony Lee
Sent:Tuesday,January 30,2018 10:50 AM
To:Ted de Budden<TdeBudden@everettwa.gov>;Tawnya Herman<THerman@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Kevin Fagerstrom<KFagerstrom@everettwa.gov>
Subject:717 Colby
Driving by today I noticed that there was a dumpster in the front yard and construction debris within. Looks like a flip is
underway. This is an SFR that we have had issues with in the past(carport). Permits were issued and approved for a
storage room under the existing carport. It looks like much more is going on now. There is a new owner as of a few
months ago. There are no active permits for construction. Listing says there is a 2"d kitchen. Based on interior pictures
from listing sites—it appears the wall between the carport(enclosed storage room) and the house has been removed
(hard to tell).
Tawnya, please make this a 'W'.Ted, please swing by.
I have already contacted Kevin and he will be swinging by as well.
Thanks,Tony
1
