If you have any
questions regarding these comments, please contact Erik Emerson with the City of Everett
Surface Water Department(425-257-8995 or EEmerson@everettwa.gov).
a. Storm Drainage Report Comments:
1. Section 1, Figure 1 notes that the storage facility is for treatment only. The table
should be revised to note the ChamberMaxx system and list the storage volume.
2. Section 2 contains threshold determination flow charts as requested. However, the
flow charts used are from the old(2010) City of Everett stormwater manual. Please
replace them with the flow charts from the 2014 Ecology manual as adopted by the
City.
3. The Figure `Basin area for Filterra calculations" incorrectly lists the acreage for
sidewalks and asphalt. The square footage values appear to be correct and the
Filterra sizing appears to have been taken from the square footage values. Please
check the conversion to acres and revise the summary table accordingly.
4. The detention calculations result in an orifice size of 0.384 inches. However, City
standards require a minimum orifice size 0.5". Please refer to SWMM Volume 3
Section 3.2.4 for rules for upsizing the orifice to the minimum diameter.
