The elevator car shall be of such a size and arrangement to accommodate <br /> a 24-inch by 84-inch ambulance stretcher in the horizontal, open position and shall be identified by the <br /> international symbol for emergency medical services (star of life). The symbol shall not be less than 3 <br /> inches high and shall be placed inside on both sides of the hoistway door frame. <br /> Exception: If all stories within the building have direct,accessible egress to grade (EMC 16.01, Section <br /> V). <br /> 33. A building footprint and lot layout for this project shall be provided to the Fire Marshal's Office on <br /> CD/DVD. <br />
