ADDENDUM B <br /> EASC Scope of Work for the period 4/1/2019—3/31/2020 <br /> The Contractor's Role. The Contractor is committed to the economic vitality and <br /> sustainability of the region as reflected in its 2018-2022 Business Plan (Addendum A). It engages <br /> in activities designed to encourage diversification and development of the area's economic base; <br /> to increase the area's tax base; and to encourage the retention of jobs and employment <br /> opportunities in private business, the creation of new business, and the attraction of businesses to <br /> the City of Everett as the lead city in Snohomish County. In effecting these purposes, the <br /> Contractor shall work with new and existing businesses in a manner that is orderly and consistent <br /> with the city's citizenry, governmental jurisdictions and environmental standards. <br /> II. Objectives <br /> A. Attract,Develop, and Retain Talent. Increase training and educational opportunities <br /> and awareness to satisfy workforce demand for all industry sectors. <br /> a. Promote and drive the innovation agenda to foster industry growth and attract <br /> talent. <br /> b. Be a key connector of education, workforce development and industry. <br /> c. Advocate for programs and infrastructure to increase capacity for educational and <br /> community based systems. <br /> d. Bolster awareness and accessibility of STEM careers to inspire learners. <br /> e. Engage with programs to increase diversity in leadership across the County. <br /> City of Everett deliverables: <br /> • Provide a quarterly report on EASC's progress toward the Objective above including <br /> specific activities under each sub-category that encourage the City of Everett <br /> economy. The report shall include: <br /> o The number of educational and career connected learning opportunities <br /> facilitated through the Snohomish STEM Network and related activities with a <br /> minimum of(3) per quarter. <br /> o The change to the level of awareness of educational opportunities achieved, <br /> including but not limited to, email and social media marketing. Publish a <br /> minimum of(4) communications per month. <br /> o The number of and attendance at programmed events to attract, develop, and <br /> retain diverse talent to be held within Everett with a minimum of four(4) per <br /> quarter. These include Engage Everett events, Business Afterhours events in <br /> Everett, and the annual State of the City event. <br /> o Evidence that EASC's marketing and communication strategies are promoting <br /> equity and inclusion with respect to the individuals it is reaching. <br /> o Continue leadership role for EASC in Leadership Snohomish County, and <br /> annual Young Leaders and Emerging Leaders events. <br /> o Continue leadership role in convening and advocating for the development of <br /> a Mariner Community Campus. Host a minimum of one (1)partner convening <br /> per quarter. <br /> B - 1 <br />
