Department of Fish and Wildlife POL 5210 Page 2 of 6 <br /> 1. Washington State Law Exempts Sensitive Fish and Wildlife Information <br /> From Public Inspection and Copying. <br /> 2. Employees Shall Only Release Sensitive Fish and Wildlife Information to <br /> the Following Entities and Their Agents (e.g., Consultants) for Fish, <br /> Wildlife, Land Management Purposes, or Scientific Research Needs: <br /> A. Government agencies. <br /> B. Tribes. <br /> C. Accredited colleges and universities. <br /> D. The owner, lessee, or right-of-way or easement holder of private land <br /> to which the data pertain or who initially provided the data. <br /> E. Public utilities. <br /> 3. The Release of Sensitive Fish and Wildlife Data May be Subject to a <br /> Confidentiality Agreement by Means of a WDFW Sensitive Fish and Wildlife <br /> Information Release Agreement. The agreement must indicate that the <br /> signatory (person or organization) recognizes the appropriate guidelines and <br /> criteria for species listed in Appendix A for disseminating sensitive fish and <br /> wildlife information and has agreed to the provisions of this policy. <br /> 4. Individuals and Organizations May Release Sensitive Fish and Wildlife <br /> Information Obtained From WDFW Subject to the Following Provision: <br /> Parties holding sensitive fish and wildlife information obtained from WDFW may <br /> release it only to the parties listed in Section 2 of this policy when such a release <br /> accompanies an agreement to abide by the provisions of this policy. <br /> 5. Employees May Release Sensitive Fish and Wildlife Information During <br /> Certain Governmental Activities. <br /> The following activities constitute circumstances appropriate for the release of <br /> maps or other items that display sensitive fish and wildlife information. Any <br /> sensitive fish and wildlife information released in these circumstances shall abide <br /> by the other provisions of this policy: <br /> A. When working with citizen advisory committees. <br /> B. In public meetings and hearings, sensitive fish and wildlife information <br /> shall not be displayed at resolutions finer than 1:100,000. Maps or <br /> other media that display or refer to sensitive fish and wildlife <br /> information in accordance with this policy may not be reproduced or <br /> distributed. Metadata used in making these maps shall not be <br /> released unless the provisions in Section 3 of this policy are met. <br /> Answer specific questions only to the extent as provided in the <br />
