January 13,2016 Project No.T-7342 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK Our work was completed in accordance with our authorized proposal dated December 15, 2015. Accordingly, on December 29, 2015, we explored subsurface conditions at the site by observing the excavation of 15 test pits to depths of approximately 8.5 to 17 feet below existing surface grades using a track-mounted excavator. Using the information obtained from our subsurface explorations and laboratory testing, we performed analyses to develop geotechnical recommendations for project design and construction. Specifically, this report addresses the following: • Soil and groundwater conditions • Geologic hazards per City of Everett Municipal Code • Seismic Design Criteria • Site preparation and grading • Excavations • Slopes and embankments • Foundations • Floors slabs • Lateral earth pressure for wall design • Preliminary Mechanically Stabilized Earth(MSE)Wall Designs • Stormwater detention pond • Subsurface drainage • Utilities • Pavements It should be noted that the recommendations outlined in this report regarding drainage are associated with soil strength, design earth pressures, erosion, and stability. Design and performance issues with respect to moisture as it relates to the structure environment are beyond Terra Associates' purview. A building envelope specialist or contractor should be consulted to address these issues,as needed. 3.0 SITE CONDITIONS 3.1 __ Surface The project site is an irregular shaped approximately 16.15-acre parcel located northeast of the intersection of 36th Avenue West and Seaway Boulevard in Everett, Washington.
