Instructions <br /> must be followed carefully to ensure proper performance and full benefit from the gas log set.Check to be <br /> sure the log set is designed and labeled for the type of gas(natural or propane gas)supplied to the <br /> fireplace. Fireplace floor must be level,clean, and smooth. <br /> WARNING: Faureto position the parts in accordance with these diagrams or failure to use onlyparts, <br /> specifically approved with this appliance may result in property damage or personal injury. <br /> REFER TO THE PARTS LIST WHEN FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS. <br /> 1. MAKE SURE THE FIREPLACE GAS SUPPLY IS TURNED OFF. <br /> 2. Locate the gas-supply stub inside the fireplace and remove the cap, if attached (see Fig. 11-4 <br /> CAUTION: When removing the cap,make sure the stub does not turn,loosening the connection jnside t wall. <br /> 3. Attach the nut end of the flex connector to the adapter found on the valve or,if attached,on the reg at- <br /> behind the valve.Tighten securely. 0 <br /> 4. Place the burner system into the fireplace so the open burner pan faces outward. 43, <br /> 5. Locate the grate and attach the log locators to the 2 outer bars of the grate with screws and ni. <br /> log locators should be loosely positioned toward the middle of the bars with screw slots facing towards <br /> fireplace side walls (Fig. 11-5).Temporarily place the front log at the front of the grate, to correctly <br /> determine the log locator position. Slide the log locators up against the rear of the front log.Tighten <br /> the log locators in place. Remove the front log. <br /> 6. Place the grate over the burner pan so the log locator brackets fit over the back edge of the burner pan <br /> to lock it in position. <br /> 7.
